Give your FiveM server a complete and immersive vehicle rental experience with the Karma Developments Vehicle Rental System — featuring an interactive rental kiosk, configurable vehicles and pricing, real-time rental periods, selectable vehicle colors, garage integration, and a polished touchscreen-style interface. 🚗✨

Players can walk up to the rental kiosk, browse the available vehicles, choose their preferred color and rental duration, pay using cash or bank, and then collect their rental directly through the integrated garage system.

📦 Features:

Interactive Rental Kiosk 🖥️
Players interact directly with a physical rental terminal placed in the world. The system uses an immersive on-prop touchscreen interface rather than a basic menu.

Browse available rental vehicles through a clean and responsive interface featuring:

• Vehicle images
• Vehicle names
• Daily rental prices
• Search functionality
• Clear vehicle selection
• Simple Rent Now workflow

Real-Time Rental Durations ⏳
Players can choose how many days they want to rent their vehicle.

Rental durations are based on real time, with the default configuration supporting:

• Minimum: 1 day
• Maximum: 14 days
• 1 rental day = 24 real-world hours

The rental timer begins immediately after successful payment.

Cash & Bank Payments 💳💵
Players can choose between:

• Cash Pay
• Card / Bank Pay

Prices are securely calculated and validated server-side to prevent players from manipulating rental prices through the UI.

Selectable Vehicle Colors 🎨
Before completing their rental, players can choose their preferred vehicle color from a configurable selection.

The chosen color is automatically applied when the rental vehicle is spawned.

Garage Integration 🚗
After renting a vehicle, players can select Show Pickup Location and travel to the configured Garage Manager.

The rental then appears directly inside the garage interface, allowing players to:

• View their rented vehicle
• Take the vehicle out
• View rental information
• Store the vehicle again during the active rental period
• Retrieve it again while the rental remains valid

Rental vehicles are handled separately from permanently owned vehicles and are not added as permanent player-owned vehicles.

Automatic Rental Expiration ⌛
Once the rental period expires, the vehicle can no longer be collected.

The system automatically handles expired rentals and cleans up expired rental vehicles.

If a player is currently inside an expired rental vehicle, the system will wait until the vehicle is empty instead of deleting it underneath the player.

Persistent Rentals & Restart Recovery 💾
Active rentals are stored in the database.

The system includes recovery handling so valid rental vehicles are not simply lost following resource or server restarts.

Missing active rental vehicles can be restored to garage storage, while vehicles that are still active in the world remain marked as taken out.

Automatic Database Setup 🗄️
The required karma_rentals database table is created automatically when the resource starts.

No manual rental SQL import is required for the rental table.

Secure Payment Handling 🔐
The rental system includes server-side checks for:

• Player identity
• Vehicle selection
• Rental duration
• Selected color
• Payment method
• Available balance
• Rental pricing
• Duplicate checkout requests
• Active rental limits

The system also tracks interrupted payments and flags uncertain transactions for staff review instead of automatically charging the player again.

One Rental at a Time Support 🔑
By default, players may only have one active rental at a time.

A player must wait for the current rental period to expire before purchasing another rental. Storing the vehicle does not cancel or shorten the rental period.

This behaviour can be configured.

Create and configure rental locations using config.lua, including:

Designed around client/server validation, streamed assets, DUI-based interaction, and controlled cleanup logic to provide an immersive rental experience without unnecessary gameplay clutter.

Included Rental Prop 🏪
The resource includes its own custom Karma Rental kiosk prop, including streamed model assets and textures, giving the system a distinctive physical presence inside your server.

Large Vehicle Image Library 🖼️
The package includes 1,383 vehicle images, allowing a wide range of GTA and custom-supported vehicle models to display proper catalogue thumbnails.

🔧 Highly Configurable

Most server-specific settings can be managed directly through the included config.lua, allowing you to adapt the system to your economy, vehicle selection, locations, rental duration, colors, taxes, and preferred framework/target resources.

📋 Requirements

The current version uses:

• OneSync
• ox_lib
• oxmysql
• Compatible framework: QB-Core, Qbox, or ESX
• garage-terminal for rental pickup/storage
• A supported target resource such as interact, ox_target, or qb-target

🔒 Protected Resource

The resource can be distributed through FiveM Keymaster/Escrow while leaving the necessary configuration available for server owners to customize their rental setup.
